Donna Marie Forsberg, 81, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 3:18 pm August 15, 2022 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.

She was born March 18, 1941 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Anthony and Dorothy (Pribyl) Fontana. Donna married Bradley Forsberg. In addition to her beloved husband, Donna is survived by her son, Lance Forsberg and wife, Elizabeth of Carbondale, Illinois; grandchildren, Allison Forsberg, Ethan Forsberg, and Oliver Wegrzyn; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Wegrzyn, grandson, Robert Joseph Wegrzyn; three brothers; and three sisters.  Donna was a faithful member of Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was the owner and operator of her own cleaning business and was proud to help take care of Bishop Iffert’s residence. Donna was very witty and had a great sense of humor. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

A Visitation will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mount Vernon. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am with Father Nick Junker and Bishop John Iffert officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
