SANDOVAL — The Sandoval High School CNA class under the direction of instructor Brandi Hill decided to give back for the holiday to those who may need a little extra love. The class which consists of Sandoval, Odin and Patoka seniors went Christmas caroling last night at Carlyle Healthcare, Odin Healthcare, Cedarhurst, and a local CILA home.

The class has been working on their own time since the end of October to be able to give gifts to the elderly for Christmas.

They collected 90 blankets and gave them to the residents of the CILA home and Odin Healthcare where they’re been doing their required clinicals.

While the Sandoval Fourth Grade classes decided to give back to the animals this year with a donation drive based on the novel Winn-Dixie. The effort was ultimately opened up to the whole school to donate money and needed items for Second Chance Animal Rescue in Fayette County.

The students loved finding ways to help animals in need and also reading the novel that inspired their generosity.
