Young people in the listening are proving you don’t have to be an adult to help others.

The Washington County Fair Queens recently gathered donated items for the residents of Friendship Manor Nursing Facility.

The girls placed personal items, snacks and money into Santa decorated buckets they then delivered to the residents of the facility.

Dressed in their gowns and crowns, the young women brought smiles to the faces of the residents as they handed them their early Christmas gifts.

And in Mt. Vernon, Third Grade Chorus students from the Dr. Nick Osborne Primary Center delivered a performance earlier this month to the residents of Countryside Manor.

Krista Witges is the chorus teacher at the Primary Center and helped the students bring music and smiles to the residents.
